The bucket holds 12 pouches totaling 24 servings across five entrees and breakfast options, all backed by Mountain House's 30-Year Taste Guarantee. The bucket weighs 5.52 lbs and measures 12" x 10" x 12.31", with a stackable design for organized storage.

Variety Built for Real Situations

Having a range of meals in a single container matters when the bucket is pulled out under stress: a power outage, a multi-day camping trip, or a week away from a kitchen. The Classic Assortment Bucket covers both breakfast and dinner with five distinct recipes, so the same meal isn't repeated more than three times. That variety reduces palate fatigue on longer stretches and means different members of a group are more likely to find something they'll eat.

Ready in Under 10 Minutes, Just Add Water

Every pouch in this bucket prepares by adding water directly to the pouch, with no cookware required. Hot water is recommended; room-temperature water works but doubles the wait time. Preparing all 12 pouches in the bucket requires 18 cups of water total. That low barrier to preparation is meaningful in situations where fuel, cookware, or time is limited.

Stackable and Storage-Ready

The bucket measures 12" long, 10" wide, and 12.31" tall, and its stackable design lets it fit into a shelf, closet, or vehicle storage bay alongside other containers without wasted space. At 5.52 lbs, it's light enough to move without difficulty. The bucket contains no artificial flavors and no artificial colors, and packaging is recyclable.

Features

24 total servings: 12 pouches across five recipes covering breakfast and dinner.

30-Year Taste Guarantee: Mountain House's shelf-stability guarantee applies to every pouch in the bucket.

No cookware needed: each pouch functions as its own bowl; add water directly.

18 cups of water total to prepare all 12 pouches in the bucket.

No artificial flavors or colors in any recipe included.

Stackable bucket: 12" x 10" x 12.31", 5.52 lbs, recyclable packaging.

Specifications

Specification

Detail

Total Pouches

12

Total Servings

24

Weight

5.52 lbs

Dimensions

12" (L) x 10" (W) x 12.31" (H)

Recipes Included

Beef Stew (Gluten-Free) x3, Beef Stroganoff with Noodles x3, Granola with Milk & Blueberries x2, Spaghetti with Beef Marinara x2, Chicken Fried Rice (Gluten-Free) x2

Water Required (full bucket)

18 cups total

Artificial Flavors

None

Artificial Colors

None

Packaging

Recyclable bucket; stackable

Allergens Present

Wheat (Spaghetti with Beef Marinara, Beef Stroganoff, Granola); Milk (Beef Stroganoff, Chicken Fried Rice, Granola); Egg (Beef Stroganoff, Chicken Fried Rice); Soy (Chicken Fried Rice); Sesame (Chicken Fried Rice); Tree Nut/Coconut (Granola)

Who This Is For and Isn't

The Classic Meal Assortment Bucket suits households building an emergency food supply, campers and backpackers who want a pre-selected variety of freeze-dried meals without assembling individual pouches, and anyone who wants a single container covering both breakfast and dinner options across multiple days.

The bucket is not suitable for anyone with allergies to wheat, milk, egg, soy, sesame, or tree nuts (coconut), as multiple recipes contain these allergens.
