It is compatible with BulletProof 1-7/8", 2", and 2-5/16" threaded balls and is rated for up to 10,000 pounds of trailer weight and 1,000 pounds of tongue weight.

Extra Drop When Standard Mounts Fall Short

Some trailers (boat trailers, low-slung utility trailers, older equipment) have coupler heights that a standard ball mount cannot reach without putting the hitch ball at an angle that stresses the connection. The Drop Tang adds up to 5.5 inches of additional drop below the receiver bar, giving the ball a straight, level engagement with the coupler. That matters for both towing safety and trailer tire wear over a long haul.

Built to Handle the Load

The Drop Tang is constructed from solid steel with a 3/4" thick tab and a 1" hole sized for BulletProof's threaded ball lineup. The 10,000-pound trailer weight rating and 1,000-pound tongue weight rating place it in light-duty towing territory, suitable for the trailers most commonly paired with this type of drop attachment. The Signature Black Textured Powder Coat finish resists corrosion and road grime.

Ready to Pin and Go

The Drop Tang ships with two 5/8" corrosion-resistant pins and R-clips, so no additional hardware is needed to mount it in the receiver. BulletProof threaded balls in 1-7/8", 2", and 2-5/16" sizes are compatible and sold separately.
