It mounts on a standard on-center bolt pattern and is available as a single universal configuration.

Built to Work with Synthetic Rope

Hawse fairleads are specifically designed for synthetic winch rope, which requires a smooth, low-friction guide rather than the grooved rollers of a traditional roller fairlead. The Body Armor 4x4 Hawse Fairlead provides that smooth passage, reducing wear on the rope during recovery pulls and helping preserve the rope's rated strength over repeated use. Synthetic rope run through a roller fairlead can fray and weaken over time; this hawse design eliminates that risk.

Anodized Finish for Long-Term Durability

The matte silver anodized finish bonds to the aluminum at a surface level rather than sitting on top as paint would, making it more resistant to chipping, scratching, and corrosion from trail mud, water crossings, and UV exposure. For a component that lives on the front of a bumper and takes the brunt of off-road conditions, a finish that holds up without constant maintenance matters.

Ready to Install

Mounting hardware is included, so no separate trip to the hardware store is needed before installation. The on-center bolt pattern aligns with standard winch plate fairlead openings, making fitment straightforward on compatible bumpers and winch plates.

Features

Winch compatibility: fits winches rated 6,000 to 12,000 lb

Rope type: synthetic rope only (not compatible with wire rope)

Finish: anodized matte silver for corrosion and scratch resistance

Mounting hardware: included in the box

Bolt pattern: on-center, standard fairlead opening

Step pad: non-slip serrated step pad included

Specifications

Specification

Detail

Brand

Body Armor 4x4

SKU

5140

Winch Capacity Range

6,000–12,000 lb

Rope Compatibility

Synthetic rope only

Finish

Anodized matte silver

Bolt Pattern

On-center

Mounting Hardware

Included

Who This Is For and Isn't

This fairlead suits overlanders and off-road drivers who run synthetic winch rope on a 6,000 to 12,000 lb winch and need a proper hawse-style guide to protect the rope during recoveries.
